Phoenix report basics

SOP: Power BI Reporting Navigation

Objective

The objective of this article is to guide team members on how to navigate Power BI for accessing and understanding special education data reports effectively.

Key Steps

  1. Accessing Provider Reports:

    • Log in to Power BI using ssdco\ and then your username. Use your SSD password. (ie, ssdco\jdoe, password)

    • Click on "Phoenix Reports" to access provider reports.

    • Explore reports such as active students by case manager or service provider.

  2. Understanding Report Information:

    • If unsure about the content of a report, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the report tile.

    • Review the description of the report and when it was last updated.

  3. Managing Favorites:

    • To add a report to favorites, click the star icon on the report tile.

    • To view only favorite reports, click on "Favorites" in the upper left corner.

  4. Viewing Reports:

    • Choose between viewing reports as tiles or as a list on the upper right.

    • Explore the list of available reports for more detailed information.

Cautionary Notes

  • Many reports are updated quarterly or hourly.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Regularly check for updates in reports to stay informed.

  • Utilize the favorites feature to quickly access frequently used reports.

  • Experiment with viewing reports as tiles or lists to find the most convenient format for your needs.
