Troubleshooting Global Protect VPN
Staff should reference this article for how to Sign Out and Re-connect to Global Protect VPN. This is often required after staff do not use Global Protect for a long period of time and then attempt to sign in again, but sign-in fails because the version of their Global Protect that is installed needs updated to the current version, which will occur during the Re-connect process.
Instructions
Click on Global Protect in the lower right corner of your System Tray in Windows. You may need to click the ^ symbol to locate the Global Protect’s globe icon.
Click on the 3 lines symbol in the top right of Global Protect.
Click on Settings.
Click on Sign Out. Select OK at the confirmation window.
Global Protect will close.
Reopen Global Protect.
Click Connect and if your Windows credentials are not used automatically, you may be prompted to enter your SSD username and password.
