WFM Holiday Schedule Integration

WFM Holiday Schedule Integration

With the new joint resolutions, the holiday calendars for certain employees are based on the school calendars for those groups. After several discussions with Infor and Payroll, the best option was to create a work detail import to create the holiday overrides on the specific days on the employees' timesheet. This page describes: 1) How to create the Holiday Schedule Template document that’s needed to initiate the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration. 2) Where to save the Holiday Schedule Template document so that the integration can import it. 3) How to initiate the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration.

How to create HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx

To run successfully, the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration needs to import the holiday calendar information for the employees whose timesheets will be affected. That information must be stored in an Excel spreadsheet named HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx. That spreadsheet may only contain a single worksheet named Sheet1. Worksheet Sheet1 within HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx must contain the following 5 columns (and may not contain any additional columns):

Column Name

Description

Example

Notes

Column Name

Description

Example

Notes

location

The location code for the school where the employee works.

A05

date

The date for which the employee will receive holiday pay.

12/22/2023

minutes

The number of minutes for which the employee will be paid.

450

This value must be expressed in minutes, not hours.

departmentId

The department where the employee works.

28

jobClassId

The employee’s job class ID.

03

Because many job class ID’s begin with the character 0, you may have to switch the datatype of this column to Text in Excel.

The HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx must contain only these columns. It cannot contain any additional columns or worksheets other than Sheet1. Once you have populated HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx appropriately, you’re ready to store it in the directory where the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration will import it.

Where to save HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx

The WFM Holiday Schedule Integration looks for the HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx file in the following shared network drive: \\exeter\SPED Ad Hoc Reports\Holiday Schedule

When you’re ready to initiate the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration, please replace the existing HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx in the shared drive with the HolidayScheduleTemplate.xlsx file you prepared using the instructions above.

Initiating the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration

The WFM Holiday Schedule Integration runs on an at-will schedule. When you want the integration to run, submit a ticket to Technology Services requesting the WFM Holiday Schedule Integration SQL Server Agent Job to be run. Technology Services staff will contact you through your ticket to let you know the status of the integration once they receive your request.
