VPN - Configure Access on Windows
Necessary for when a user needs to connect to internal district network resources from home or outside SSD buildings.
You cannot setup and install VPN when connected to SSD’s internal network. You must be on a non-SSD network.
Step-by-step guide
Go to https://agw.ssdmo.org
Log in with your SSD username (without the @ssdmo.org and without prepending ssdco\).
Log in with your SSD password.
Click the download link for either the 32 or 64-bit version of the software depending on your version of Microsoft Windows.
To verify your version of Windows:
Go to Control Panels > System and look under System > System Type.
Run and start the installer.
After the installer finishes, go to the Start Menu and launch GlobalProtect.
Set the following options under the Home tab.
Portal will be: agw.ssdmo.org
Username is your SSD username (without the @ssdmo.org and without prepending ssdco\).
Password is your SSD password.
Hit Connect.
The status in GlobalProtect should now read Connected.
When you are done working with VPN, please make sure to return to GlobalProtect and hit the Disconnect button. This will disconnect your VPN session from being active. If you need to access internal district network resources again, you will need to reconnect.
Before any user can have access to VPN, a written request and justification for access from your supervisor must be submitted and approved by the Technology Department.
Please be aware that VPN will not work while you are working at an SSD site. The VPN is used to connect in to SSD’s internal servers that would be unavailable while working on a different network without the use of the VPN.
