Disabling the pop-up blocker for Lawson

Problem

Lawson requires pop-up blockers be disabled in order for full functionality of the application. You will experience issues submitting forms and jobs if your pop-up blocker is enabled or if you do not have the Lawson site added as an exception.

Solution

Below are instructions for disabling the pop-up blocker or adding exceptions for Chrome, IE 11, Firefox and Safari. Please select the appropriate browser you are using from the list below to guide you through the process.


Google Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More .

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Scroll down and click Site settings.

  5. Under "Content," click Pop-ups and redirects.

  6. Under "Block (recommended)" toggle the switch to change to Allow.

  7. To enable pop-ups on specific sites,

    • Toggle the switch to Blocked (recommended)

    • Click the Add button and enter the URL: [*.]cloud.infor.com

    • At the bottom, click Add.

Microsoft Edge

  1. On your computer, open Microsoft Edge.

  2. At the top right, click the Settings and More  button .

  3. In the left navigation window, click Cookies and site permissions.

  4. Under "All permissions", scroll down to Pop-ups and redirects.

  5. Under "Block (recommended)" toggle the switch to Off to Allow all pop-ups.

  6. If you want to allow pop-ups on specific sites,

    • Under "Block (recommended)" toggle the switch to On to block all pop-ups.

    • Click the Add button and enter the URL: [*.]cloud.infor.com

    • At the bottom, click Add.

  7. At the bottom, click OK.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. On your computer, open Mozilla Firefox.

  2. Click the menu button and choose Options.

  3. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  4. Under the "Permissions" section:

  • Uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows to disable the pop-up blocker altogether.

  • A click on Exceptions… opens a dialog box with a list of sites that you want to allow to display pop-ups.

  • The dialog box offers you the following choices: 

  • Allow: Click this to add a website to the exceptions list.

  • Remove Site: Click this to remove a website from the exceptions list.

  • Remove All Sites: Click this to remove all of the websites in the exceptions list.

Safari (MacOS)

  1. From the Safari menu, select Preferences, then click Websites

  2. Uncheck the Block pop-up windows box.

  3. Block pop-up windows for:

    • A website in the list: Select the website in the right column, then choose the option you want.

    • All websites that aren’t currently customized: Click the “When visiting other websites” pop-up menu in the bottom-right corner of the pane, then choose the option you want. You can see all websites you’ve customized under Configured Websites. If you don’t see Configured Websites, either you haven’t customized a website yet, or you’ve cleared the list. See Change Websites preferences in Safari on Mac.

    • All websites: Make sure no websites are listed under Configured Websites (to clear the list quickly, select the websites, then click Remove). Click the “When visiting other websites” pop-up menu, then choose the option you want.
