When creating a requisition, please use data in the "Model" field as the description and Part # as the "Part Number" in your requisition. Marco will be the vendor used in the requisition.

Prior to placing a requisition for a printer, the following considerations/information must be considered:

1. Was the printer budgeted for during the previous year’s budget process?

2. Is this printer replacing another device, or is it a new device?

   1. If the device is replacing another device, what device (SSD Asset Tag #, Serial # or Marco ) will it replace?

   2. If the device is a new device, have the following considerations been made?

      1. Printing to another nearby printer? Convenience does not justify the need for printer purchase.

      2. Printing to a copier? Often copiers can be configured with release codes for added security.

      3. Could the printed content be distributed electronically?

      4. Does the printed content need to be printed?

3. If in a partner district, does adding or replacing a printer align with any partner district initiatives to consolidate or manage printing access?

4. If a color device is being considered, would a monochrome suffice? Most printing will be in monochrome. Color printers are less efficient at printing in monochrome.
