This scenario is for a student who has never received special education services and is now eligible. This is the Initial NRSP.
Student receiving services through a Non-Resident Services Plan - Initial NRSP (Current Phoenix Status is “Eligible”)
Role Responsible | Tasks |
---|---|
Special School District Staff | Student found eligible for special education services through Initial Eligibility. |
Case Manager | In Phoenix, change Case Manager to the Teacher-Level Case Manager (if it has not been changed). |
Note: When the student’s record is located in Phoenix, an IEP may appear on the Scheduled Events panel if this is the first Non-Resident Plan being written for this student. DO NOT complete this event. The IEP will be deleted when the Non-Resident Services Plan Event is locked by the SEIMS Department. | |
Locate the Non-Resident Services Plan file on the NRSP page of the Technology Services Knowledge Base on this page. | |
Download the Non-Resident Services Plan and save it to your desktop (The plan is a fillable PDF.). | |
Complete the Non-Resident Services Plan. | |
Attach the completed Non-Resident Services Plan file to a Technology Service Desk ticket through the Service Desk Portal or, using your SSD email account, email it as an attachment to technologyservices@ssdmo.org | |
SEIMS Department | Create the Non-Resident Services Plan Event using the Meeting Date of the NRSP as the Scheduled and Due Dates. Enter the Case Manager as the Primary Staff. |
On the Non-Resident Services Plan Decision Form, select “Student receiving services through a Non-Resident Services Plan”. | |
Complete the date of the most recent Non-Resident Services Plan. | |
Save Form. | |
Attach the NRSP file to the Non-Resident Services Plan event. | |
Lock the Non-Resident Services Plan event. | |
Change the Primary Staff for the future Non-Resident Services Plan Event to the Case Manager. | |
Delete the Notification of Meeting-Initial IEP, Initial IEP, and Parent Consent-Initial Services – IEP from Scheduled Events. | |
Notes | After locking the Non-Resident Services Plan Event, the Notification of Meeting-Initial IEP, Initial IEP, and Parent Consent-Initial Services – IEP should be deleted from Scheduled Events. A new Non-Resident Services Plan Event should be created under Current and Upcoming Events with a due date one year, minus one/two days, from the date of the most recent Non-Resident Services Plan. |
The Reevaluation Decision Event should appear on the Scheduled Events panel | |
Phoenix Status after the Non-Resident Services Plan is locked: Active (Non-Resident Services Plan) |
