Instructions

When accessing standardized testing like MAP (DRC for GLA Grade Level Assessments), MAP-A (KITE for MAP Alternate assessments), or End of Course (Questar Nextera EOC secure browser) using a Chromebook, the student should not sign-in, or they will not be able to see the testing apps because these apps run in Kiosk mode.

  1. Power on the Chromebook

  2. Do not sign-in

  3. Make sure you have an Internet connection (WiFi signal) in the lower right corner of the screen.

  4. Look in the lower left corner of the Sign-in Screen along the Taskbar (bottom bar) for the Apps button.

  5. Click on the Apps button and then click on the button for the installed testing client needed.

  6. Once the test is finished and submitted, close the lid or hold the Power button to turn off the Chromebook.

    1. The testing applications run in Kiosk mode and the regular Chromebook controls are locked out once the testing application is started.

    2. The only way to return to the Chromebook Sign-in screen is restarting the Chromebook.
