All events can be printed (PDF file created) before the event is locked. Because events in Phoenix cannot be unlocked, It is important to view and proofread all events before locking.

  1. Search for the student.

  2. Select the student’s name from the Student List Panel to open the Student Profile.

  3. Select Events on the Student Profile.

  4. On Scheduled Events, click the name of the event to be viewed.

  5. The Overview opens. If the event is due within 10 days, or overdue, a visual reminder appears at the top. If the Due Date is in the future, the reminder is green. If the event is overdue, the reminder is red and shows the number of days it is past due.

  6. The Overview includes a list of forms included in the event. The Validation Check column identifies each form as

    1. COMPLIANT (Green): All fields required by Phoenix are completed correctly - this does not test for Special Ed Process compliance

    2. NOT COMPLIANT (Yellow): Some fields required by Phoenix are blank or not complete

    3. NOT MODIFIED: The form has not been started, all fields are blank. Required forms (blue box with a star) that are ‘Not Modified’ print in some events but not all.

  7. To view a form, click the name of the form on either the Forms List Panel on the left of the screen or on the Overview list.

  8. To print the event (PDF file), click the Print button at the bottom of the overview or any form/screen.

    1. Forms with information entered and saved, print. In some events, ‘required’ forms print even if no information has been entered. Blank ‘optional’ forms do not print.

  9. The Print Layout Chooser appears. Select a print layout. The options vary by event.

  10. The PDF creates on a new tab, new window or as a download depending on browser settings.

  11. Before an event is locked most forms include a DRAFT watermark. These forms do not have the watermark:

    1. Excusal

    2. Transfer of Rights

    3. Prior Written Notice forms.

  12. Print using the PDF tool bar.

  13. To close the event, click the Back to Events button at the bottom of the Overview. The Events page opens.
