This guide will aid in the process of configuring MHC Document Express 4.5 and the SQL Connector Queries for Document Express.

Step-By-Step Guide

The following printers need installed prior to beginning the Document Express installation procedures:

  1. PUR

  2. SE9

  3. MISNET

  4. DC Toshiba Rec 228

The video in the folder \\exeter\mis share\mhc document express upgrade\ provides a step-by-step walk-through of a typical Document Express install.

  1. Copy the MHC Document Express Directory to a USB Drive or the User's Machine

  2. The directory is located at \\exeter\mis share\MHC Document Express Upgrade

  3. Run DE45o SetupB856.exe Setup and Click "Next" through all of the Install windows.

  4. Run DE45o_SetupB17.exe Setup

  5. Run 2016 DEo W2 Setup

  6. Run 2016 DEo 1099 Std Setup

  7. Run 2016 DEo 1095C Setup

  8. Now we will need to configure the OBDC 32-Bit System ConnectionRun %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64\odbcad32

  9. Name: DETest Description: DETest Server: MHCDB

  10. Change to "with SQL Server Authentication using login ID"Check box "Connect to SQL Server to Obtain Default Settings"
    Login ID: mhctest
    Password: a2Bead!d2a

  11. Change the Default Database to "DETest"

  12. Launch MHC Document Express 4.5o from the Start Menu and Create Shortcuts for User

  13. Data Source Name: DETest User Name: mhctest Password: a2Bead!d2a

  14. Click "OK" then Close Program and Relaunch Document Express 4.5o

  15. Then you will need to copy the special DLLs from the install folder director that you extracted earlier to the "Program Files x86 Folder".

  16. Local Disk C: > Program Files (x86) > Document Express > Copy DLLs Here

  17. Run Document Express As Administrator, click on the Administrator Options tab, then Configuration. If you do not follow these steps, you will get get error messages that Routines are missing when you attempt to print.

  18. Click on the ellipses in the Module Update Directory section:

  19. Drill down to C:\Program files (x86)\Document Express\ , then click Save, then OK.

  20. Click on Configuration again

  21. Click on Install Wizard

  22. Drill down to the C:\Program files (x86)\Document Express\ folder again. Click Install All from Folder

The software is now configured and ready for use. If there is ever an authentication issue, Infrastructure and Shantell have access to the Database and can reset one of the four user's password.
