This article helps you with editing MFA methods and using different ones when you do not have access to the default method.

Editing the MFA settings

You may return to the settings at any time by going to the URL, https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info . You will have to authenticate using the multi-factor method you selected.

  1. On the Security info screen, you may change your Default sign-in method to one of your methods in the list.

  2. You may also change or delete your methods using the buttons corresponding with your method selections.


Using MFA

Go to an SSD application that requires MFA and login with your SSD username and password.

  1. You will be prompted with a new screen asking for you to enter a code or it will initiate the phone call to the phone number you specified during setup.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  3. If, you are not able to authenticate with the default method, click the Use a different verification option link.

  4. You will be provided with other methods you have setup to authenticate. Follow the on-screen guides for instructions.

If you are not able to authenticate after trying the steps above, please submit a help desk ticket and a member of the Technology Services Help Center will be with you as soon as possible.
