MFA - Editing and Using Multi-Factor Authentication Options
This article helps you with editing MFA methods and using different ones when you do not have access to the default method.
Adding, changing and deleting MFA methods
You may return to the settings at any time by going to the URL, https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info . You will have to authenticate using the multi-factor method you selected.
On the Security info screen, you may change your Default sign-in method to one of your methods in the list.
You may also add, change or delete your methods using the buttons corresponding with your method selections.
Testing MFA
On a device or browser where you have not recently logged on, go to: https://myapps.microsoft.com/
You will need to sign-in using you SSD username and password.
You will be prompted with your default MFA method.
If you do not have access to your default method, and have more than one setup, then you will be prompted to Use a different verification option.
You will be provided with other methods you have setup to authenticate. Follow the on-screen guides for instructions.
If you are able to log into the Microsoft MyApps Portal, then your MFA configuration is successfully working.
If you are not able to authenticate after trying the steps above, please submit a help desk ticket and a member of the Technology Services Help Center will be with you as soon as possible.
