Update

Rationale

Auto Log Off

After sitting idle for 120 minutes, you will receive a warning message indicating you have been logged out of the Phoenix application. You will be encouraged to log out before you step away from Phoenix as this poses a potential FERPA violation. When you close the message, you will be redirected to the login screen.

Update

Rationale

Auto Save

  • An Auto-Save feature has been implemented on event forms and screens. Examples of screens are Goals, Services, Accommodations and Disabilities

    • Once you begin typing, an auto-save timer will appear. After 5 seconds of inactivity, Phoenix will auto-save your information. A green ‘Save Success’ message will appear, and a last saved time stamp will appear at the bottom of the form.

    • You will still receive the message to save or ignore your changes if you attempt to navigate away from the form before the auto-save success message appears. You may choose to Save or ignore changes as before.

  • Auto-Save on Goals and Service product screens will collapse the goal and service you are working on when the auto save timer expires. Please keep this in mind to limit the frustration of having to expand the panel to continue editing. SSD is working with the vendor to improve this limitation of the feature coming later this year.

Improvement

Notification banners

  • Messages, in form of a banner, have been implemented in events and forms when more than one team member is in an event/form.

    • When a team member is in an event, each subsequent team member will have a banner on their screen that someone else is already in the event. The initial user does not see the banner unless they complete an action in the application that refreshes their screen.

    • If you open an event and another team member is already working in the event on a different form or screen, you see a blue banner.

    • If team members are in the same form or screen in the event, you will see a yellow banner.

    • You can select the information button that appears in the banner to view the current team member(s) in the event and the section(s) of the event being accessed.

    • You are strongly encouraged to leave the event or form if you see this banner, especially if two users are on the same form.

    • We encourage teams to communicate and coordinate event and form data entry so that no two users are in an event or form at the same time to avoid any data loss.
