These steps are used when a student is transferring from one school to another.
Search for student requiring the change by entering the SSD# and clicking on the magnifying glass
Select the Transfer History tab
Click and enter the changes as appropriate to the following tabs: Attending, Home, Managing or Folder School
School
Description
Attending School
The school the student physically attends on a regular basis
Home School
School the student would attend based on residence
Managing School
School responsible for managing the student’s special education program and the implementation of the IEP
Typically used by SNAP, otherwise it is typically the same as the attending school
Folder School
The Folder School provides two functions: it tracks where the student’s physical confidential folder is located and
it tracks/grants permission to enter information in a student’s electronic folder
4. On the appropriate tab, select Type
5. Select School To to begin typing the school code or school name. Schools matching criteria will appear in the drop down
6. Select Date Transferred (If backdating, use a date later than the last date used in the Date Transferred field of the Attending tab)
7. Click Save All on the Attending tab. This updates each additional tab-(Home and Managing school), if necessary
8. Click OK on the confirmation window that appears
