Microsoft Teams is the hub for team collaboration in Office 365 that integrates the people, content, and tools your team needs to be more engaged and effective.

Microsoft Teams is a collaborative environment where specified individuals (members of a Department, Team or Project) will work on and share files together and participate in conversations and meetings. Microsoft Teams is available upon request. If you would like to use Teams, please submit a request to the Technology Services Help Center.

With Microsoft Teams on your PC, Mac, or mobile device, you can:

  • Pull together a team.

  • Use chat instead of email.

  • Securely edit files at the same time.

  • See likes, @mentions, and replies with just a single tap.

  • Customize it by adding notes, web sites, and apps.

Teams is an Office 365 application and requires every SSD staff member to sign in using their SSD UPN and password. For help with accessing Office 365, please go to Logging into Office 365 and Outlook (Email) and return to this page.

Download Microsoft Teams Desktop App

Microsoft Teams is a multi-device platform. There are three options to access Microsoft Teams.

  • The Microsoft Teams desktop application is the recommended path for using Teams to its fullest potential (including real-time notifications, external website display and more).

  • Teams may be accessed through the web application at https://teams.microsoft.com. The web application is extremely easy to use and provides access to most content in Teams.

  • Teams also has a mobile application which is the most restricted option, but a terrific way to receive notifications and view something quickly on the go.

You may download the desktop and mobile applications below. Select the appropriate application for your desktop or mobile device and login with your SSD username and password.
