This article describes how Technicians can install and configure the HP Scanjet Flow 7000 scanner for staff in the Pupil Personnel departments (Student Records, Intake, Word Processing).

Downloading the Necessary Software:

  1. Visit https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers at https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

  2. Click on Other and type in the scanner model HP Scanjet Flow 7000 S3, it will auto-find, Click on the suggestion and then Click Submit.

  3. Download HP ScanJet Flow 7000 s3 Full Feature Software and Driver.

  4. Run the .exe you downloaded.

  5. 4 Components will be installed:

    1. HP Scan

    2. part 2

    3. part 3

    4. part 4

Software Installation:

  1. HP Scan

    1. Accept the EULA and Data Collection Settings and Click Next

    2. Wait for the additional components to finish installing (13 items)

    3. Connection Options: Choose Manual Setup and Click Next

    4. Make sure the USB from the Scanner to the Computer is plugged in.

    5. Choose USB and Click Next

    6. Click Finish

Importing the Custom Scan Profiles:

  1. Copy custom scan profiles from Teams->TS->Installs: HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Student Records https://ssdmoorg.sharepoint.com/:f:/s/Filewave/Essdi00PyWVLu7bDCbfIbWYBzvFrMF-o8-PPBh8un_63eA?e=ezwudh

  2. Launch HP Scan application and Click the Import Scan Profiles button.

  3. Locate the scan profiles .xml file you copied and Click OK.

  4. Close the HP Scan app.

Configuring the quick-scan buttons on the Scanner hardware:

  1. Launch the HP Scan-Scanner Tools Utility app.

  2. Click on the Import Scan Profiles button.

  3. Check the boxes for Records and Gray.

  4. Click the double-arrow icon to move those profiles into the Scanner’s profile list.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Verify on the Scanner that cycling the Up and Down Arrow Buttons lists the newly imported profiles.
