Adjust the Volume or Microphone on your Chromebook

This article provides links to instructions from Google for how to turn your Chromebook's volume or mic input levels louder or softer.

  • Microphones-recommend starting at 50% (half-way) and adjusting up (louder) if needed.

  • Mics turned up to 75-100% (max loud) frequently cause feedback or garbled speech in video chats like Meet or Zoom.
