Changing your Voicemail PIN and/or password

This article is for all SSD staff who need to change their voicemail pin or RingCentral password using the RingCentral web service portal and directly on the phone.

Using the RingCentral Desktop App

You can change your email through the Desktop app by going to Settings in the bottom left corner. Once there go to the Phone section and click the Edit button next to Voicemail.

Once you have change the pin, click Save.

Using your RingCentral phone

*86 will connect you to the physical RingCentral phone's VM box. If you are using a shared line or a phone that is not assigned to your SSD username, then please follow the steps listed below for using any phone.

  1. On a RingCentral phone, dial *86 to access the voicemail box for that phone.

  2. Enter in the current PIN, press the pound (#) key.

  3. Press 2, for the Account Administration.

  4. Press 3, to change your PIN.

  5. Enter your current PIN, then press the pound (#) key.

  6. Enter your new PIN, then press the pound (#) key.

  7. Press 1, to save the change.


Using any phone

  1. Dial your full 10 digit number and press the pound (#) key, wait until your voicemail greeting begins.

  2. Press the star (*) key.

  3. Enter in the current PIN, press the pound (#) key.

  4. Press 2, for the Account Administration.

  5. Press 3, to change your PIN.

  6. Enter your current PIN, then press the pound (#) key.

  7. Enter your new PIN, then press the pound (#) key.

  8. Press 1, to save the change.

(this greeting plays before your phone rings. It is not the same as Voicemail greeting)
