Creating an Exit Event
The steps below are permissions based and are steps used to create an Exit Event in Phoenix.
Step-by-step
Find student and go to Events
Click "+ New Meeting"
Select "Exit" as Event Type
Use the transfer date for both the Scheduled and Due Dates (If backdating, use a date later than the last date used in the Date Transferred field of the Attending tab in ESI)
Assign yourself selecting the smiley face
Save
Select the Exit form the Exit Overview
Choose the appropriate exit reason
Enter Comments, if necessary
Save
Return to the Exit Overview
Run Validation Check
Should receive a message indicating "Validation Check Successful"
Lock the event
Once the Exit Event is locked, all future events will be deleted and the active plan will be abandoned.
The following day the student’s status in the ESI will be changed to Exited and Withdrawn. No further action is necessary. If student should return to district, the transfer process will need to be completed.
