ESI: Caseload Specialty Maintenance (New Release)
Manage Provider Specialties effectively, ensuring that specialties remains up-to-date and accurately reflect the responsibilities of providers.
Search
Hover over Provider Maintenance in the Admin menu and select Caseload Specialty Maintenance from the flyout menu.
You have two options available: you can either utilize the search function or navigate through the tree menu.
Should you choose to use the search option, input a relevant keyword and proceed by clicking on the search button.
The tree structure will populate with items that match your search criteria.
To revert back to the default tree view, simply click on the clear button.
Alternatively, if you opt for browsing through the menu tree, scroll through until you find your desired item.
By selecting a specific Provider Specialty, detailed information and components will be displayed for your reference.
Adding, adjusting or removing existing components will help keep Provider Specialties up-to-date and aligned with responsibilities.
Edit Component
Choose a Provider Specialty.
Select the Edit button located next to the component you wish to modify.
The Component Properties will then be shown below for your review.
You have the option to adjust the Adjustment Factor and set the desired Valence.
The adjustment factor should be a numerical value, while valence can be either Minus or Plus.
Don't forget to click on the Save button once you're done with your modifications.
Delete Component
Choose a Provider Specialty.
Select the Delete button located next to the desired component.
If the components are calculated, you will be notified, "Caution: Removing this component will affect "#"" providers."
Proceed by clicking on the Delete button to confirm.
In case of non-calculated components, you will receive a warning stating, "Caution: Deleting this component will impact "#" providers.” Deleting a non-calculated component necessitates manual data re-entry.
To proceed in the Caution dialog box, you need to verify by entering "DELETE" in the field and then selecting the Delete button.
Add Component
Select a Provider Specialty.
Navigate to the Component Properties section and choose a Component from the drop-down menu.
Enter in the Adjustment Factor.
Select the Valence.
Click the Add button.
