In this article, we will cover the process of wiping and reinstalling Windows 10 on a device.

If you do not have a Windows 10 USB, review this article here.

  1. Plug in your Windows 10 USB before powering the device on

  2. Power on your device and boot into BIOS (For Dell it is your F12 / For HP it is your F9 key)

  3. Select your Windows 10 USB and boot to it

  4. When you see this screen, click “Next”

  5. Click “Install now” to start the installation

  6. Click “I don’t have a product key” as the key will come down later

  7. Select “Windows 10 Pro” as your version of Windows and press “Next”

  8. Accept the terms and notices and press “Next”

  9. Click on “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)“

  10. Once you reach this step, you’ll notice there are several drive partitions. You will need to delete all of the partitions of their drive (assuming they only have one drive which is their C: drive) You can do so by selecting a drive partition and clicking “Delete”

  11. Press “OK” to confirm that you want to delete the partition. Repeat this process until you see “Drive 0 Unallocated Space”

  12. Once you see only one “Drive 0 Unallocated Space” click “Next” to begin the installation.

You have successfully installed Windows 10 Pro onto your device. Please leave the USB in the device for the remainder of the installation.
