This article will help users when they need to reset a form that is no longer necessary. This removes the form from needed in an event. A form that has been reset is not included in the locked event.

Resetting a User-Created Form
A form that was created and saved but is no longer needed can be reset from the Event Overview. Any form that is reset will not be included in a compliance check and will not appear in the locked event. Forms that can be reset are required forms that were created when the user makes choices on another form (referred to as Hidden forms) as well as optional forms (see below).
A form can be reset even if it has been completed and saved. It is not necessary to delete the information before resetting it. In order to reset a form, you must first reverse the steps taken to create it. For example, to reset the Transportation Form form, you must first change your response on the Transportation Decision Form form to one of the choices that does not create the Transportation Form form (i.e. Not Needed). The Transportation Form form will disappear. Then If the student does not require transportation as a related service, return to the Services Summary Form form and change the choice to The student does not require transportation as a related service (if appropriate). The Transportation Decision Form form will disappear. Save the Services Summary Form form and continue with Step 4 below.
Resetting a Hidden, required form (i.e. that has been saved (this example resets the BIP form) that has been saved:
Return to the form where the decision was made that created the form (in this example – Special Considerations).
Change the choice that created the form to the opposite (in this example, uncheck the box for Behavior Intervention Plan). The form
will disappear from the forms list but will continue to print until the rest of the steps are followed.
Save the form (Special Considerations).
Return to Event Overview. The form no longer appears on the Forms List panel or the Event Overview.
The Reset Optional Forms button appears at the bottom of the Event Overview.
Click Reset Optional Forms. The Reset Optional Forms window opens, listing all forms that can be reset.
Check the box for each form you wish to reset.
Save.
Click Reload Event Data or Validation Check.
The status for the form will change to Not Modified. If all optional forms have been reset, the Reset Optional Forms button will no longer be visible.
If the form you wish to reset does not appear in the Reset Optional Forms window, check to be make sure you have changed the response that created the form.
If you find you need a form you have reset reset form is needed later, it can be reopened. Return to the form that created it and change the choice back (in this example, return to Special Considerations and recheck the box for Behavior Intervention Plan). Enter information into the form and save it.

If information was entered and saved in a form, just making the form disappear will not reset the form. If you do not complete steps 4 – 11 above, the form will still be included in the locked event. |
