This article will help users with the event.

Event information

The Notification of Meeting (NOM) event is required to document the scheduled meeting information and attempts to notify the parent of the meeting. It includes the Notification of Meeting and Record of Attempts forms. It is included with evaluation, IEP, SP and Manifestation Determination Events.

On Scheduled Events, a bracket indicates the connection of the NOM to the associated event. The user will be unable to lock the associated event until the NOM and Record of Attempts have been completed, saved and stored.  When the event is locked, both move to Locked Events.


In an IEP and SP, the Meeting Date on the Notification auto fills to the Plan Dates form where it is used to calculate the Projected Annual Due Date. The Plan Dates are used for the begin and end dates for the goals, services and classroom accommodations.

In an Initial Evaluation, the date on the Background and Referral Information, Evaluation Results and Interpretation, the Eligibility Determination(s), Record of Participation, and Additional Information page auto fill from the Notification of Meeting and should reflect the date of the Eligibility Conference. If the conference is re-scheduled, a new Notification of Meeting must be completed.

In a Reevaluation Event, if assessment or additional data is needed and an eligibility conference is going to be held, a second Notification of Meeting should be sent for the eligibility meeting.

  • The date on the Background and Referral Information, Evaluation Results and Interpretation, Eligibility Determination(s), Record of Participation, and Additional Information page should reflect the date of the Eligibility Conference and not the Review of Existing Data meeting

  • If the conference is rescheduled, a new Notification of Meeting must be completed by typing the new information in the current NOM (Verify a copy of the previous NOM has been stored first)

Tip

Printing a Notification of Meeting Form

If an additional copy of a stored Notification of Meeting form is needed, it is not necessary to "Create/Store" another copy of the existing form. A copy of the form is stored in the Invitation Record each time Create/Store is used. To print a copy:

  1. Click Invitation Record (at the bottom of the screen)

  2. The Invitation Records window opens

  3. To view the saved Notification(s) of Meeting click the hamburger icon and select Notification of Meeting from the list

  4. The PDF of the Notification of Meeting opens in a new window

  5. The form can be viewed, printed or closed

Note

The Notification of Meeting and Record of Attempts are stored in Invitation Record when Create/Store Invite is clicked. If information is changed on either the Notification of Meeting or the Record of Attempts after the Notification has been Stored, the section must be Saved, AND Create/Store Invite must also be clicked to lock and store the most recent version of the forms. If this is not done, the most recent version of the forms will not be saved when the event is locked.
